Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil review

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil Review TheFuss.co.ukThe much-loved Midnight Recovery range has a new addition, and we think everyone is going to love the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil.

This not only removes makeup swiftly but is a real treat for the skin too, leaving your complexion fresh and clean, with skin that is balanced and soothed.

The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a cult product, pretty much everyone who has tried it, loves it. Kiehl’s harnesses the powers of the pure botanical oils from their concentrate and pops them into this new cleansing oil to gently remove makeup as well as hydrate, soothe, and nourish skin.

What’s in it?

This cleansing oil is made from an aromatic blend of pure botanical oils: Squalane, a planted-derived lipid with a natural affinity for skin; Evening Primrose Oil, rich in Omega-6 Fatty Acids; and Lavender Essential Oil.

And it's Soap-free, Sulfate-free, and Mineral Oil free.

Bottom line

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil Review TheFuss.co.ukThe Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil is easy to work into the skin, the oil is light and is rubbed easily over the skin and helps break down makeup and impurities easily.

The lavender oil gives the cleanser a comforting scent, that’s perfect for the evening use, but some people might find this a little off-putting.

A little of this product goes a long way, Kiehl’s have suggested three-to-four pumps of the product, but we found that two is more than enough to effectively remove makeup. You don’t want too much product to work with because you’ll just end up a slippery mess.

Just a light rubbing over the skin and you’ll find it removes even the most stubborn of makeup, and simply using water to emulsify will help remove all traces of makeup and dirt.

The Kiehl’s formula rinsed away easily and broke down my makeup completely without stripping my skin. Your skin is left soft to touch, with no residue left behind, and skin feels clean without feeling taught or dry.

It does retail for £32 which is a little on the expensive side, but the ingredients included in this cleansing oil justify the price tag. Although if you’re looking for just a makeup remover, there are other cleansing oils that do a similar thing with a cheaper price point.
