MAC Woodwinked eyeshadow review

MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow Review Woodwinked is one of their standout cult eye shadows for many reasons; the highly pigmented shade looks beautiful on many skin tones and should be a staple in your makeup kit.

The brand describes it as an antiqued gold, but we’d say it’s more of a golden bronze shade that’s not too yellow and extremely metallic; it looks stunning when it catches the light.

The dimensional Veluxed Pearl shine shadow is very pigmented, just one brush of this shadow over your lids and you’ve got a striking look. But what’s surprising, is the butter-soft texture that makes it a dream to apply, work with and blend with other shadows.

Like the majority of MAC shadows, Woodwinked is available to buy in an individual pot, which is sturdy and lightweight, or you can buy a little pan to place in your own palette. These are the cheaper options, and you get just as much product too.

MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow Review

Extremely pigmented, flattering colour for many skin tones, no fallout, lasts really well

A little on the expensive side, but you certainly get what you pay for with MAC products

Bottom line

MAC Woodwinked is a gorgeous eye colour that you won’t be disappointed you bought. It’s an extremely wearable colour that flatters most skin tones and is as beautiful to apply as it is to wear.

You’ll find yourself reaching for this eyeshadow time and time again.

Make-up Art Cosmetics, or M.A.C as it’s more commonly known, was founded in 1984 by two Canadian chaps named Frank – make-up artist and photographer Frank Toskan and beauty salon owner Frank Angelo after they became frustrated by the lack of makeup that photographed well,  they decided to create their own. At first, they made the cosmetics in their kitchen and sold them straight from the salon to fellow makeup artists, as well as models and photographers. Soon, stylists and fashion editors got in on the action. As the magazine credits racked up and word-of-mouth popularity grew, the duo launched M·A·C in March 1984 from a counter in a Toronto department store.

Big lover of MAC Cosmetics? You’ll love their Back to MAC scheme. With a commitment to the environment, the makeup experts will accept the return of its primary packaging, six containers, to a MAC counter and for that, you’ll receive a free MAC lipstick of your choice – this excludes the Viva Glam Lipsticks and any Limited Edition Lipstick. We think it’s a pretty excellent deal, just make sure that you keep your empties in a safe, rememberable place.

MAC Patina eyeshadow review Patina eyeshadow

MAC Patina eyeshadow is a unique shade we think everyone should have in their makeup collection. It’s a versatile shade that you’ll use as a wash all over your lids or mixed in with others for a more dramatic look. It can take some time to get used to using this shade, but honestly, play with and see how you can incorporate it into your makeup routine. Once you’ve mastered how it works best for you, you won’t look back.

MAC Up The Amp Review Up the Amp Lipstick

The highly pigmented formula of the MAC Up the Amp lipstick is a big draw, it also flatters most skin tones, feels extra creamy, stays comfortably on the lips for hours and leaves a beautifully moisturised sheen.

This shade is the perfect gateway lipstick to the gutsier purple shades make offers like Heroine, Rebel or Cyber. And while it certainly packs a punch, it does so in a flattering and beautiful way.

We don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this lipstick shade.

MAC Mocha Blush An unsung makeup hero Mocha Blush

MAC  have a knack for creating blush colours that don’t look like much in the pan, but as soon as you apply, they transform into a gorgeous, glowing shade that makes you whole face just look better. Mocha is one of these blushes. If you have yet to swatch this blush, head to your nearest counter, try it out, and we’re pretty sure you’re going to buy. It’s a gorgeous natural shade that perks up the skin in one quick application. Not only that but the blusher lasts really well, feels lightweight on the skin, and is easy to blend – it’s hard to overdo it with this colour.

It might not be the most glamorous of beauty buys, but it’s something you’ll find yourself applying day after day.

MAC Gingerly Blush review Gingerly Blush

MAC Gingerly is the perfect neutral matte blush, it’s ideal if you want to wear a strong lip or eye and keep everything else toned down. It provides just a flush of colour, lasts really well and easy to blend into the skin. The velvety touch glides onto the skin and the blusher looks natural, not too bright and provides a perfect hint of colour to warm up the skin.
