The Brit Awards take place tomorrow evening (Wednesday, February 25) and over the years the show has certainly caused some shocking moments, some cringe-worthy moments and moments we could barely watch through our fingers.
In anticipation of the UK's biggest music awards show, we've taken a look back at some of the most unforgettable moments from the Brit Awards. Can you think of any more?

Geri Halliwell’s Union Jack Dress
Back in the days of Spice World in 1997, the Spice Girls made their first appearance at the Brit Awards to perform and Geri Halliwell had an iconic moment in a teeny tiny Union Jack printed dress. The fact that you could see her underwear highlights just how short the dress actually was, and ever since then, there’s been a spawn of copies of this look.
Jarvis Cocker invades Michael Jackson’s performance
Jarvis Cocker made quite the ass of himself when he stormed the stage during Michael Jackson’s performance of Earth Song and wiggled his bum at the American singer. Of his impromptu guest appearance, the Pulp lead singer said: "My actions were a form of protest at the way Michael Jackson sees himself as some kind of Christ-like figure with the power of healing. I just ran on the stage. I didn't make any contact with anyone as far as I recall." Following complaints from some of the children on stage, Cocker was detained and interviewed by police on suspicion of assault but was released without charge.
Robbie Williams offers Liam Gallagher a fight
The ongoing spat of Liam Gallagher and Robbie Williams was continued in public fashion at the 2000 Brit Awards. The scene wasn't aired at home, but when Williams was interviewed he asked if anyone would like to see him fight Liam. Suggesting they both put together money and get in a ring and fight on TV. We'd have loved to have seen Liam's reaction to this though.
Peter Kay brands Liam Gallagher a ‘knobhead’
Following Oasis’ split in 2009, it wasn’t clear whether any of the band’s former members would turn up to the 2010 Brit Awards to collect the special Best Brit Album of the Past 30 Years award. But Liam Gallagher was on hand to provide another unforgettable moment of the Brits history. After thanking everyone except his brother Noel, whose walkout caused the group to split in 2009, Liam went on to throw the Brit Award into the crowd. But his actions didn’t go down well with host Peter Kay, with the comedian branding him a ‘knobhead’. Liam continued the feud the following day on Twitter using plenty more expletives.
James Corden cuts Adele off
Adele was mid-speech after she won Best British Album in 2012, but that didn't stop James Corden from cutting in. The singer made it known she was upset as she walked off the stage holding up her middle finger.
Samantha Fox and Mick Fleetwood disastrously present the show
We’re not entirely sure why Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood and singer/former Page Three girl Samantha Fox were chosen to host the Brits in 1989; and with cues missed, pop stars bowling up to the stage at all the wrong times and the duo looking quite uncomfortable throughout, we’re pretty sure the producers look back on it with red faces too.
Ronnie Wood and DJ Brandon Block square up
Ronnie Wood was on stage presenting an award when DJ Brandon Block ended up there too in a mistake move. The pair ended up squaring up to each other, insulting one another, and then Wood threw a drink in Block's face. The DJ ended up with a further red face when he was ejected by the bouncers.
Justin Timberlake and Kylie Minogue get steamy on stage
It was in 2003 when Justin Timberlake and Kylie Mingoue teamed up on stage for a steamy session, where he grabbed Kylie’s infamous pert bottom. Rumours flew that the saucy performance caused fireworks backstage, as Kylie’s then-boyfriend James Gooding watched the antics. It’s said that the pair had a huge bust-up at the after-show party.
Ali G performs Booyakasha
Sacha Baron Cohen’s Ali G made an appearance at the Brit Awards in 2002 to perform his song Booyakasha. The gold lame outfit was enough to make people laugh, but then he started singing as well.
