Celebrities love the drama and attention, you can’t deny that, and there’s nothing that brings them more attention than when they get into a spat with another celeb.
These are the biggest celebrity feuds of 2016, well, so far at least. There are still a couple of weeks left of the year, maybe there will be another before the year ends.

Demi Lovato and Nicki Minaj
This was one of the most surprising of the year, and one we weren’t expecting. Both Demi and Nicki arrived at the Met Gala in May wearing custom Moschino gowns designed by Jeremy Scott. The trio posed for photographs on the red carpet.
Later Nicki uploaded an image to Instagram and only tagged Jeremy in the image, and shot some serious side-eye in one of the pictures. This led to Demi posting a few things.
At first, she seemed to take it all in stride, Instagramming one of the photos herself with the caption, "This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met 😂😂😂 #cool #sof*ckingawkward #notforme #sweatpants #forensicfiles #whatsgood p.s. some of y'all need to learn how to take a joke. I'm obviously laughing at the fact that 1. I look incredibly awkward and 2. That the shade being thrown in this picture actually gives me life 🙌🏼😂." Later on, though, the singer posted a selfie to her Snapchat story with a confused expression, writing, "When you aren't mentioned in a post but didn't do sh*t to the other person..."
Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa
Kanye loves a bit of drama, and let’s be honest this isn’t the only time you’re going to see his name on this list. He started 2016 with a bang and kicked it off with a feud with Wiz Khalifa. Kanye changed the name of his album from Swish to Waves. He tweeted, "This is not album of the year. This is album of the life." The term "wavy" was originally popularised by rapper Max B (who is in jail for robbery), and Wiz was angry Kanye hadn't given Max B his due credit. A nasty feud that ended up dragging in Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, and Wiz's child with Amber Rose was ignited. Kanye later tweeted that the two settled their issues during a phone call, and he changed his album title (yet again) to The Life of Pablo.
Kanye West and Amber Rose
Whilst he as feuding with Wiz, Kanye also made comments about Amber Rose, who is Kanye’s ex and Wiz ex-wife.
After he accused Wiz of getting "trapped by a stripper" and said that he "owns" the former couple's son, Sebastian, Amber blasted him on Twitter. "Awww @kanyewest are u mad I'm not around to play in ur asshole anymore? #FingersInTheBootyAssBitch☝," she tweeted, which got a few more candid responses from Kanye, including: "Exes can be mad but just know I never let them play with my ass. . .I don't do that. . .I stay away from that area all together." Kanye brought Amber up again when he featured her as one of the naked sculptures in his video for "Famous," and briefly called her out in his rambling speech at the VMAs.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber
With an on-again, off again relationship there’s always been plenty of drama between the pair, and it all came to a head in August when Selena criticised Justin for posting photos of his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie.
He responded to her comments by writing, "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love." Selena then accused him of cheating on her ("Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love"), and he did the same ("I cheated. . .Oh I forgot about you and Zayn?") before deleting his Instagram account entirely. On Snapchat later that night, Selena seemed to regret her actions, writing, "What I said was selfish and pointless."
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel
It was towards the end of filming Fast 8 that Dwayne Johnson couldn’t hold his tongue any longer.
In a scathing social media post, The Rock blasted an unknown member of the action movie's cast, calling them "chicken shit" and a "candy ass." A few other co-stars weighed in on the drama, and soon it was clear The Rock's comments were directed at Vin. Diesel star posted a few cryptic Instagram videos of his own, where he promised to tell fans "everything."
Khloe Kardashian and Rob Kardashian
Khloe and Rob had been living together for years and Khloe was helping him through his demons when things got sticky between the brother and sister when he began a relationship with Blac Chyna, the ex-fiancée and baby mama of Kylie Jenner's current boyfriend, Tyga.
The entire Kardashian clan was vocal in their disapproval of the relationship, and Khloé went so far as to kick Rob out of her house. "Am I happy he's out and about? For sure," Khloé said on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians after he moved out of her home and into Chyna's. "Am I disappointed that Rob isn't talking to me after he got out of my house? Yeah, because I've been the only one that stood by him and defended and wanted the best for him. So that's just where it gets frustrating."
Despite her conflicting emotions over the situation, it all came to a head in April when Khloé lost it after Rob popped the question. She told her family, "No one should congratulate [Rob or Chyna]."
Azealia Banks and Zayn Malik and Skai Jackson
Admittedly there aren’t many people Azealia Banks hasn’t had a feud with, and in 2016 it was Zayn Malik and Skai Jackson. It started when the singer posted on Instagram a collage juxtaposing clips from her music videos and shots from the video to erstwhile One Direction member Zayn Malik’s new track “Like I Would.” Basically, she was accusing him of plagiarizing her ideas, though she conceded that he was a “cutie pie.” Malik then posted some tweets that may have been alluding to Banks, who then chose to abandon the conciliatory pose altogether — instead going on to describe Malik, who is of Pakistani descent, as a “curry scented b—-.” Fourteen-year-old Disney Channel star Skai Jackson then tweeted to Banks to “simmer down,” to which Banks responded by telling Jackson to “grow some hips and start [her] menses.”
She was later dropped from a Festival performance due to her tweets. She went on to tweet a tepid pseudo-apology, which — along with the earlier diatribe — has since been deleted. She also issued a statement, which can be read here.
Kim Kardashian and Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moretz and Piers Morgan
It was back in March when Kim uploaded a naked photo of herself to Instagram that this feud began.
Chloë claimed to be criticising Kim in the name of feminism, tweeting, "I truly hope you realise how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than our bodies." Kim was quick to hit back at her on Twitter, as well as further defending herself from Bette and Piers in a thoughtful essay about why she has no problem with nudity.
Kanye and Kim West and Taylor Swift
Just when we thought Taylor and Kanye's seven-year feud was dead in the water, it all kicked off again this year. Big time. There was song lyrics, call outs in the media and a whole load of dissing, and in honesty, we completely revelled in it all.
Chelsea Handler and Heather McDonald
This started when Heather spoke about against her former boss, she claimed that she lived in fear while working on Handler’s show. She said one minute Chelsea “makes you feel so special, until you’re not”.
Once the TV host heard the allegations against her, she appeared on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show to elaborate on the situation, revealing that Heather had been selling stories about her personal life to magazines. "When I found out at work that she was trading stories to Us Weekly about my personal life in exchange for having her pictures run in the magazine, I could have fired her," she said. "She had a job for four more years. I never hung out with her personally again. I hope she was living in fear. If you're that fearful, go get a job." Heather later said her comment was "taken out of context."
Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift
It was one of the celebrity splits we weren’t expecting in 2016, especially since they’d just passed their one-year anniversary.
However, they both insisted the split was amicable. Just two weeks later Taylor was pictured kissing Tom Hiddleston and the whole thing turned sour.
It all turned dramatic in July when Taylor’s rep revealed that Calvin’s song, "This Is What You Came For," was penned by none other than his pop star ex, saying, "Taylor Swift wrote 'This Is What You Came For' under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg."
Calvin interpreted this as Taylor and her team deliberately trying to make him look bad, and fired off a (since-deleted) flurry of angry tweets that even referenced Taylor's longstanding feud with Katy Perry. "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex-bf down for something to do," he tweeted. "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it."
Taylor didn't respond, but that’s most likely because she found herself in yet another feud with Kim and Kanye just a few days later.
Khloe Kardashian and Chloe Grace Moretz
Chloe already had it out with Kim earlier in the year, and Khloe couldn’t hold her tongue when the actress got involved with the drama between Kim, Taylor and Kanye.
First, Chloë tweeted, "Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole and look around to realize what's ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world," and, "Stop wasting your voice on something so petulant and unimportant." Khloé responded with, "Is this the a hole you're referring to @ChloeGMoretz ???" accompanied by a paparazzi photo of a girl (who looks a lot like Chloë) with her butt exposed. Chloë proved that the girl in the picture wasn't her, and Khloé went on to try to explain her actions. "I'm the last person to bully but have an animal instinct to protect and defend my family," she tweeted. "Refrain from commenting on my family and OUR business (and I will do the same)."
Gigi Hadid and Perrie Edwards
Little Mix’s hit song Shout Out to My Ex is clearly a shout out to Perrie’s ex Zayn Malik and Gigi’s current squeeze, so, of course, there’s bound to be some tension there.
Especially when the blonde beauty sings in the song that she had faked it during sex with Malik.
But to make matters worse, it’s said that in earlier drafts of the song Perrie also took a dig at Hadid too.
"Heard he been f*cking some model chick, yeah that sh*t hurt I'll admit, but f*k that boy I'm over it."
Nonetheless, this original part of the song left the supermodel and her man pretty upset. One source even dished:
"Zayn has heard the original lyrics and was surprised with how harsh they were. He understands that Perrie is free to vent and write about whatever and whomever she wants, but obviously, he isn't a fan of the song."
Perrie’s entitled to have her say, she was engaged to Malik when he dumped her via text after four years together.
"He's been downplaying it to Gigi, and telling her not to give it any energy or thought, and that it just comes from a place of jealousy. Gigi wishes Perrie would just move on and leave her and Zayn alone. She thinks the song and the lyrics are immature."
Stephanie Davis and Jeremy Edwards
It all started off so well for former Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis and Irish model Jeremy Edwards when they hit it off in the Celebrity Big Brother House at the start of the year. Well, except for the fact that Stephanie had a boyfriend.
Anyway, once the show ended and Stephanie ended things with her boyfriend the pair were free to fall in love and live happily ever after.
How wrong we were. After numerous breakups and social media breakdowns, the pair split up and it was then revealed that Stephanie is pregnant with the pairs’ baby.
Now you’d expect that this would calm things down between the pair, but still, there’s plenty of drama on social media, in magazine interviews and even on Loose Women. Jeremy once said the baby wasn’t his, he hasn’t had anything to do with Stephanie since she’s had plenty of pregnancy scares and now she’s just about ready to pop.
We can’t imagine the feud will fade away even when the baby arrives.
