Fenty Mattemoiselle Lipstick review TheFuss.co.ukThe Fenty makeup range has made a pretty big impact on the beauty world, and we’re craving to see new products from Rihanna and her professional and high-quality line. Thankfully the newest launch, the Fenty Mattemoiselle line didn’t disappoint.

The Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick comes in a selection of 14 different colours, with some of the shades definitely unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Rihanna says that wearing lipstick is about having fun and expressing your mood through the colour that you’re wearing, and the shades she has designed certainly show this with colours ranging from a deep blue, a pretty lilac and forest green shade.

Of course, there are definitely more wearable colours, nudes, pinks and reds, but we love how Rihanna is encouraging us to try new beauty looks with the Fenty Mattemoiselle shades.

The colours are highly pigmented too, just one sweep of the lipstick and your lips are drenched in colour that’s opaque and bold.

The lipsticks are matte, but not at all drying on the lips, instead, the lipstick feels creamy and comfortable to wear. The shape of the bullet lets you apply this product directly onto the lips too, and despite the fact that it’s creamy and soft, the colour doesn’t bleed. Instead, you’re left with a bold-looking pout that wears really well. Expect a little colour transfer, but you won’t end up with a dreaded liner-look throughout the day with these lipsticks.

Like all of the Fenty products, the packaging is another huge plus; although, we were a little disappointed that the packaging wasn’t magnetic like some of the other stick products from the line. But they are really lightweight and sleek in design. The stick slim and the lipstick comes housed in a metallic design that certainly looks a lot more expensive than it actually is and feels. But this is probably to keep the cost of the product down and ensures the lipstick doesn’t sit on the higher end of the price scale in terms of designer lipsticks.

Pros

Highly pigmented, creamy texture, long-wearing colour, matte finish, varied colour selection, good price point

Cons

The packaging isn’t magnetic like some of the Fenty products, the packaging looks more expensive than it feels

Bottom Line

The Fenty Mattemoiselle lipstick range is definitely varied in colour and will certainly push you out of the boundaries of everyday lip colours you’re likely to reach for. Yet the products are still wearable and feel incredibly comfortable to wear.

From highly pigmented shades, the comfortable feeling on the lips, the matte finish and sleek design, there’s certainly a lot going for this lipstick. If you haven’t already, we firmly suggest picking up one or two of these lipsticks. You won’t be disappointed.
