Real Techniques Powder Bleu Collection Review TheFuss.co.uk

Inspired by blue squirrels, Real Techniques' PowderBleu collection is a 6-piece brush collection which has been designed to mimic squirrel hair. They’ve used FauxBleu™ technology and synthetic hairs to create brushes that are incredibly soft.

These brushes allow you to seamlessly blend your powder, without ruining your makeup underneath.

The line is a little pricier than the original Real Techniques collection, but it definitely shows in the quality of these tools.

Soft Complexion Brush

The domed, dense head has been created for powder foundation, it helps to blend and puff the powder in the skin, giving you a flawless coverage that you can build up easily.

Soft Powder Brush

The Soft Powder Brush has a large, tapered head. It has been created for you to apply bronzers and highlighters in one quick motion and feels super soft as you do it.

Soft Finishing Brush

The Soft Finishing Brush can be used to add the finishing touches to your base, it's perfect for the use of powder blush thanks to the small tapered head. It can even be used for a more targeted highlighter application.

Soft Shadow Brush

Still not managed to master the art of blending when it comes to creating a smokey eye look? This Soft Shadow Brush is the tool you need in your kit, the tapered, precision head not only applies shadows easily but works to blend them easily and fits the contours of your eyes beautifully too.

Soft Kabuki Brush

The Soft Kabuki Brush has a large head which means it's great for applying and blending bronzers or contour to your face, neck and decolletage. This brush helps you to work quickly over the area and create a seamless finish to your beauty look.

Plush Powder Puff

Set your makeup in place with the Plush Powder Puff, which not only looks extremely chic but ensures you get just the right amount of product on your face. You could even use it to help catch fall out from eyeshadows, just place under the eye as you apply them so you don't have to worry about distubring your previously applied base.

Pros

High quality, super soft, luxe look and feeling, cruelty-free, applies powder makeup beautifully, doesn’t disturb the makeup underneath

Cons

A little more expensive than the original Real Techniques brushes but the quality speaks for itself

Bottom line

Just when we thought Real Techniques couldn’t get any better they launch the PowderBleu collection. Sam and Nic Chapman have a knack for creating makeup tools that ensure makeup application is made a little easier and looks more flawless than ever.

We haven’t used another foundation brush since the launch of the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, and the PowderBleu range might be a little more expensive than the normal line of brushes from the brand, but they’re definitely worth every penny.

Made to be used when applying powder products, these makeup brushes are incredibly soft, easy to work with and don’t disturb the makeup underneath. Which can often be a problem for synthetic hair brushes. Synthetic hair isn’t usually the best when it comes to picking up and laying down powder cosmetics, particularly without tdistrubing the makeup that’s already on the skin. But PowderBleu does so effortlessly, feeling soft to use on the skin, and creating a flawless canvas.
