Rihanna has today launched Fenty Beauty, a makeup collection that won’t just have fans of the singer fawning over but real beauty addicts. This collection is stunning, you won’t be disappointed.
First of all, there are 40 foundation shades. Yes, 40. The whole collection is about the skin, with foundations, contour sticks, shimmer sticks, highlighter palettes and more all featured.
This is no normal celebrity makeup launch, from the concept, the presentation, and packaging, it’s definitely a beauty brand that’s going to grow and grow.
The whole range has launched today online and in stores in Harvey Nichols and the price point is really excellent too.
Rihanna was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after years of experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty and still seeing a void in the industry for products that performed across all skin types and tones.
Fenty Beauty is a makeup line designed to include women everywhere, focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.

The Fenty Face
Rihanna has spent years refining her go-to makeup technique, testing it backstage, on stage and in real life. Now with her own lineup of products masterfully developed to work together, she revealed her real-life method for killer radiance, making her iconic complexion accessible to all.
“The Fenty Face was created for women of all skin tones, of all personalities,” she says. “These steps are key to starting your makeup, no matter the look you’re going for.”
The Fenty Face is all about radiance but it starts matte with a matte foundation and you build the glow. It’s not about shine, it’s about a strategically placed glow.
Fenty products
The Fenty beauty products are designed to feel lightweight, even as they deliver buildable coverage that effortlessly layers, to ultimately “make skin look like skin”.
Rihanna says: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
About the makeup
Fenty Beauty redefines the rules with light-as-air formulas that love to be layered. The makeup line is 100% cruelty-free too.
The pricing on the range is incredible, especially when you consider the colours that are available, the textures and the packaging too – which is simple yet luxe. Some of the stick formulas are magnetic so they stick together. The perfect ploy to make you want to build up a collection.
The textures of the powders are soft and smooth, they feel incredibly lightweight yet pack an incredible punch of pigment on the skin.
The standout product
Without a doubt, at the launch this morning, there was one product that had everyone fawning. The Killawat Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife, the golden glow you get from this product is unbelievable. While it might not be the product you’re going to reach for every morning, it’s definitely one you’re going to want in your collection. Use it on the cheekbones, collarbones and eyes – maybe just not all at once.
