Just when you thought you couldn’t succumb to another Urban Decay Naked palette, they go and release Naked Heat, the brand new warm-hued eyeshadow range.

It’s been two years since the last Naked eyeshadow palette, and Heat has been a year in the making, and it’s safe to say it has been worth the wait.

Like the other Naked eye palettes, it’s made up of 12 beautiful shades, what's great about this palette, they're all completely brand new shades that you're no doubt going to fall for.

This palette is perfect for the summertime, in fact, you’re going to love it so much you’re going to wear it all year round. And the shades are perfect for the current cult-favourite neutrals that are dominating the beauty world at the minute.

With a mix of matte and shimmer shades, there's an eye for every occasion with this palette.

Ounce

A beautiful ivory colour with a hint of shimmer, you'll probably find yourself using this mostly as a means of highlighting your eyes and brow bone.

Chaser

The light nude shade is barely detectable in the swatch image below. It’s probably the shade you think you’ll get the least use out of, but it’s great for evening out the eyelid and adding a little warm to your eyes for those days when you want a no-makeup makeup look.

Sauced

The a warm nude matte shade is beautiful when you buff it into the crease with other shades for a multi dimensional look, it also looks great worn all over your eyelid.

Low Blow

The brown matte shade has a slight hint of warming yellow to it. It looks gorgeous blended all over the lid, creating an effortless smoky eye that doesn’t need much else, just a tonne of mascara on the lashes.

Lumbre

The first shimmer in the palette, it’s a gorgeous copper colour that has a shimmering golden pearl effect. It’s a gorgeous metallic finish that’s perfect for an evening eye.

He Devil

Urban Decay co-founder Wende Zomnir told Allure that this shade name was no typo mistake, she shades it’s the men her life that are the He Devils.

The burnt matte shade is a gorgeous colour for blending with, it might take a little used to working with, but once you get it right you’re going to love it.

Dirty Talk

This burnt red shade has a beautiful bronze base that makes it really easy to wear. It’s a little less shimmery than the other shimmers, so you can make this work for the daytime too.

Scorched

The Naked Heat palette originally had a different name, Naked Scorched, but the designers wanted something more simple and impactful. So, out went Naked Scorched, so they couldn’t not name a shade after it.

Scorched is a deep red shade that has pink undertones and has a beautiful gold shimmer that will make your eyes pop.

Cayenne

The deep terra-cotta matte is a stunning blendable shade that you’ll find yourself going back to time and time again.

En Fuego

The burgundy shade looks a lot more dramatic in the pan than it does when swatched, but it’s a buildable matte colour that’s perfect for a smoky Heat eye look.

Ashes

Another shade that looks more impactful in the pan, the deep brown shade has red tones to it, it lacks pigment with the first swatch, but like En Feugo it builds beautifully.

Ember

The copper-burgundy shade is smoky and stunning. The shimmer is too powerful, which makes it perfect for blending out and creating a striking warm smoky eye look.

Cons

You’re not going to fall head over heels for every shade, but it’s going to be different for every person and Urban Decay have hit the nail on the head when it comes to creating a hot palette that speaks to the warm neutral trend that’s a must-have look at the minute.

Bottom line

Let’s be honest, you probably in all manner of speaking don’t really need another eye palette. But Urban Decay has created something that we really WANT. This Naked palette is designed beautifully and caters for all, and the shades are designed to work beautifully on each and every skin tone.

Like all Naked palettes, the packaging is gorgeous too. The front of the palette is designed to look as though you're looking at a sunset, which is precisely the types of smokey eyes you'll be creating with this palette. The palette itself feels a little bulkier than the other palettes from the brand, but it's nothing too drastic.

The double-ended brush is a great addition to the palette too, with a blending side and a crease brush allowing you to precisely apply your colour.

Each of the Naked Heat shades is designed with the special Pigment Infusion System from Urban Decay, which is basically what gives it the super soft texture, high pigmentation, ease of blending and the ability to last all day long.

Give into the Heat and make this palette your next purchase, you won’t be disappointed.
