Zoe Kravitz might not be the first name you think of when it comes to style icon, but we have to admit there’s rarely a red carpet or street style look of hers that we haven’t loved.
She’s chic, understated and elegant. What’s more as gorgeous as her outfits are, she completes them perfectly with the right beauty choices and accessories.
Most recently she made a statement on the red carpet at the 2017 Met Gala. She looked beautiful in her two-tone Oscar de la Renta gown. The gown, with a diamond jewel to accent it, has so many fabulous elements. The blush pink and black colour combination is forever a classic. The draping of the satin that gives both a cape and train effect is the ideal fashion statement for such a huge red carpet, and the billowy, feathered detailing is drop dead gorgeous.
She also used the red carpet to debut her new hairstyle, the blonde pixie. And of all the stars that have recently cut off and dyed their hair this way, Zoe steals the crown for the look. She is the perfect embodiment of the style, looking both edgy and stunning. Let’s hope she keeps it this way for a while.
Earlier this year at the 10th Annual Women in Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party, Zoe looked beautiful wearing a chic black suit. The outfit was pretty simplistic, but the red lips and pop of colour from her statement emerald earrings ensured this was an outfit that would not fade into the background.
At the 19th annual amfAR New York Gala in February this year she was a vision in a white Atelier Versace side-slit gown with a beaded sheer-illusion bust detail and Swarovski crystal accents.
Atelier Versace embellished sandals were perfectly paired with the dress to match its glittering, built-in halter necklace piece that also draped down the back.
A Versace clutch finished the ensemble that brought a dash of provocative edge with its white innocence.
For the premiere of HBO’s Big Little Lies she was back to a flawlessly tailored dress from Vera Wang. The directional silhouette ensures this was not a boring look, and her simple styling enhanced the impact of the chic outfit. The Sophia Webster heels were the perfect finishing touch with an embellished heel to match her diamond earrings.
Zoe channelled gothic glamour at the 2016 premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The black lace Alexander McQueen gown was incredibly intricate, with a seductive off-the-shoulder silhouette, which she paired with a pair of collarbone-grazing statement chandelier earrings and a smattering of cocktail rings.
At the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards Zoe made a statement in her bright and bold Dior outfit, made up of peplum bandeau top and satin pants. The fit was beautiful and she added some gorgeous sleek accessories in the form of Sophia Webster heeled sandals and diamond burst earrings. She looked beautiful on the arm of her boyfriend, Twin Shaddow at the event.
This look was a bit grunge, rock and glam all rolled into one for the Mad Max premiere. Wearing Valentino the black and gold sheer creation was perfect for Zoe’s edgy style. She kept the style simple with a gold clutch and selection of jewels, not forgetting a nose ring too. The gold shimmering lip colour was the perfect way to round out the look.
Choosing a softer approach for the Cannes premiere of Mad Max, Zoe wore another Valentino gown, this time from the Haute Couture collection. It wasn’t all sweetness and light though, as the gown, which puts forth quite a feminine statement, does possess a deep plunge and sensual cut-outs. Simply styled with a gold Valentino clutch, it’s easy to see that Zoe was definitely a belle of the ball at Cannes that evening.
Whilst in Cannes for Mad Max, she also attended amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala, wearing another all-white look. This ethereal look came courtesy of Vionnet; the subtle gown was mainly dominated by her long braids, so the eye goes straight to the red lip.
We love the striking look Zoe opted for at the Insurgent premiere in New York. The Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture look consisted of a geometrically embroidered pink and dark-ink-blue silk frock.
Directional in its sculpted, bell-shaped silhouette and the extended cape-like appendage at the back, the dress possessed the slightest of a sci-fi mood that proved perfect for the film.
Completing the dress were hints of jewellery, including a Dior choker necklace, Dior earrings and stacks of Dior rings. The subtle jewellery was the perfect finishing touch for yet another gorgeous look from the actress.
At the Venice Film Festival, Zoe made a dramatic entrance wearing an eye-catching Armani Prive Fall 2014 Couture gown. The fiery-red dress featured a structured peplum with an embellished lace design. Double cuffs and diamond earrings, along with a red-hot pout, accessorised the look, which was impeccable.
Zoe stuck to her much-loved all black looks for the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival wearing Balenciaga. The black leather dress was styled simply with black strappy sandals and her braids pulled back into a ponytail. A barely-there makeup palette softened the edges to round out this minimalistic entrance.
We love the fun and flirty design of this Balenciaga look Zoe wore to the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Speckled with a flurry of black floral embellishment, the off-the-shoulder top featured a tulip-shaped peplum. She teamed the top with a structured pair of leggy shorts for a youthful, modern and slightly unexpected look. Never too far from her rocker-girl edge, she accessorised with glittery black peep-toe booties and statement black earrings.
At the Divergent LA premiere, she chose another Balenciaga look, an off-the-shoulder lace-and-satin mini dress. It was the accessories that really made this look stand out though, with Martin Katz large diamond rain earrings, plus the nose ring, Anita Ko and Repossi ear cuffs, H. Stern diamond-stud cartilage earrings, Gaydamak white-gold-and-diamond ‘Koral’ hand bracelet and silver futuristic eye makeup. Balenciaga open-toe ‘Boudoir’ sandals in a pretty blush-pink hue, with a centre-parted bun, rounded out her look.
For the LA premiere of The Hunger Games Catching Fire, she chose another simply chic look from Balenciaga. The spring dress featured a cocoon shape with folded detail going from the shoulder to the hemline. Zoe’s look was styled with a gold Balenciaga choker and bracelet, with black open-toe sandals.
For the Oscars way back in 2010 the actress looked beautiful wearing an Alexis Mabille two-tone strapless gown, which was specially designed for her. She paired the one-of-a-kind gown with Fred Leighton jewels.
