The MAC Pro Longwear Foundation is the ideal cover-up for anyone looking for a long-wearing foundation that needs little touch up throughout the day, and the shade NC15 is for those with a neutral cool undertone.
When it comes to MAC foundation colour matching, it’s advised if your veins are green in the back of your hand you’re a NC shade, if they’re blue you’re a NW shade. MAC skin products are built upon this system of undertones, allowing you to buy a foundation that really fits your complexion. NC (Neutral Cool) has a yellow undertone and NW (Neutral Warm) has a pink undertone.
The Pro Longwear Foundation gives a lovely matte finish, with no dewiness, shimmer, sheerness, so it’s ideal for those with oily skin. For those with dry skin, it may show up some patches of dry skin, so just ensure you moisturise well before applying this product.
The great thing about this foundation is how it feels; the skin doesn’t look or feel too heavy or cakey with this on, despite the medium matte coverage it offers.
This foundation has a medium to buildable coverage and with just one layer it covers about 90% of the blemishes on the face which is ideal, the makeup sets quite quickly too, which can be a bit of a pain when you first use it, but soon get used to it. If you’re building up coverage this definitely works in your favour, as its quick to set so you can go in with the second layer fairly quickly.
That being said the foundation is also really easy to blend into skin too, the best application we’ve tried seems to be a buffing brush, finishing with a beauty sponge to really make sure it looks natural and flawless.
Pros
Really long wear, medium coverage, matte finish, easy to blend
Cons
Sets quickly so you have to work fast
Bottom Line
A beautiful foundation that even in hot and humid conditions will control oils to keep skin looking fresh, natural and flawless.
