Meghan Trainor has confirmed that she has worked with Harry Styles on a single, which will no doubt leave millions of girls incredibly envious.

The All About That Bass singer has revealed that the One Direction heartthrob joined her in the studio to record a duet.

The pair have recorded a song called Someday Maybe.

Speaking to The Sun, she admitted it's a beautiful song. They worked together on it, and she performed it on her ukelele.

The singer said they recorded a rough demo of the song as well.

The 21-year old went on to explain how their collaboration came about, telling the paper that a friend had told her Harry was a fan and wanted to work with her.

But she was dubious of his writing skills, but admits she was wrong about those thoughts.

She thought he was young, but found his lyrics to be incredibly mature, and she says he really knows what love is.

It is a wonder who he’s been in love with, with plenty of stories about his womanising ways, the singer has reportedly dated Caroline Flack, Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner to name a few.

But Meghan was keen to reveal that there is no romance between her and Harry, she was adamant in stating that the pair are just friends.

It is currently unknown when fans will be able to hear their duet as Styles remains 'firmly committed' to 1D. However, with Liam Payne and Zayn Malik said to be working on solo material, we hope we don't have to wait too much longer.

And if you’re wondering when you can see Meghan in the UK, the singer has just announced her first ever UK tour.

The US singer will perform four dates in April: it begins in Manchester on 9 April, before going to Glasgow on 10 April, Birmingham on 11 April and ending on 13 April in London.

Meghan Trainor's debut album, Title, is released later this month.

Tickets for her tour go on sale from 9am on Friday
