The Summer Makeup Releases We’re Excited About

Summer is always an exciting time for makeup. It's when we're all about bronzed, glowing skin that screams 'beach goddess', youthful pink cheeks and colourful eyeshadow. Plenty of our favourite cosmetics brands are releasing new products this summer, and here are some of the ones that we're most excited about:

Urban Decay Naked Heat

Urban Decay's Naked palettes are always a sell-out, and the new Naked Heat palette will probably be no exception. The previous palettes in the collection have been quite neutral, but this one is all about the warm tones. Think burnt orange to shimmery bronzed shades and you get the idea. There are 12 shades in total, which you can combine to make the perfect warm smokey eye. Youtubers and makeup fans around the world have been clamouring over the palette, which is said to look amazing on every skin tone. The palette is officially launching on the 27th July costing £39.50 and it is available to pre-order now.

Kylie Cosmetics Vacation Edition

Kylie Jenner always breaks the internet whenever she releases a new collection, and the Vacation Edition continued that trend. It's a gorgeous collection of eyeshadows, highlighters, blushers and lip kits that are perfect for summer. The Wet Set, a pressed powder highlighting palette was one of the most popular items on release, selling out in just three minutes. Just one day later and everything from the Vacation Edition was totally sold out, with rumours that Kylie Cosmetics was not planning to restock it. We're praying it does get restocked because the eyeshadow palette is the stuff of dreams.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette

YouTube beauty guru Jaclyn Hill caused a stir several years ago with her collaboration of highlighters with Becca Cosmetics, and the shade Champagne Pop became a cult product for many makeup lovers. Fast forward to 2017, and after what seems like years following the initial announcement, her collaboration with Morphe Cosmetics has been revealed. Morphe are known for their affordable products and high-quality makeup brushes, and the Jaclyn Hill palette is made up of 35 shades varying from neutral brown to vibrant teal. The palette costs $38 and is one of the most affordable beauty guru collaborations since the Shaaanxo BH cosmetics palette. The palette launches on the 21st June exclusively on the Morphe website (bad news for us UK fans - Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty have already said they have no plans to stock it!)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit

We love Anastasia Beverly Hills' highlighter palettes, they're so versatile and the highlight is buildable so that it doesn't look cakey. Costing around $40, they're also quite affordable when you break down the cost-per-highlighter. The latest release, the Aurora glow kit, doesn't look very wearable - it's made up of lilacs, pinks, blues and yellows. However, reviewers on the Sephora website have assured us that it is perfectly suited to everyday wear. You can even mix it with oil for a hydrating glow on your body. It's available to buy in the UK from the Anastasia Beverly Hills website.

Bobbi Brown Peace, Love & Beach Collection

This collection from the iconic Bobbi Brown just screams 'summer!'. There are three eyeshadow trios - peace, which is ocean-inspired, love, which is warm and sandy and beach which is made up of golden, bronzed shades. There's also a light-reflective powder that is perfect to help you get your summer glow and even nail polish with a high-shine finish. Basically, this collection is perfect for taking on holiday. We particularly love the eyeshadow trios, which are perfect for creating a shimmering, smoky eye that will take you from the pool party to the club.
